Pastor Dave & Carrie Munger

Administrative & Worship Pastors

Carrie and I have been serving in the music ministry at Sheffield church since 2008. We have a great team working with us to help encourage a Spirit filled, uplifting, worship experience for everyone to take part in. We also enjoy working in other areas of the church so you will see us around the church, participating in events, teaching Sunday school or leading Connect Group ministries. My wife and I live in Elyria with our son Josiah. Josiah is involved in the music ministry and Rooted Youth Ministries.

I have a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a strong engineering background. I work as an operations manger in the electronics division at R.W. Beckett corporation in North Ridgeville.  I am an ordained bishop and Carrie is a licensed minister through the Church of God. We both have been involved in leading worship for many years prior to serving at Sheffield and we are excited to be able to continue that work at our church. All of this information is just to give you a chance to get to know us a little better. We look forward to seeing you at church and getting to know your story as well!

Pastor Jason & Stephanie Burrer

Youth Pastors

Our family of 5 has attended Sheffield Church of God since 2011. We became Youth leaders in 2015 and began our role as Youth Pastors in 2017. We wed in 2000 and since then God has blessed us with 3 wonderful boys, Sabastian, Tristan and Coltan who all love the Lord and serve him daily. Sabastian has graduated from Valor Christian College with an associates degree in World Missions. Our son Tristan attends Open Door Christian School, and is the drummer on the praise and worship team here at Sheffield Church of God. Our youngest Coltan attends Open Door Christian School and is an active member in Rooted Student Ministries.

As Youth Pastors our mission is to inspire young people to be transformed by the message of Christ. To equip young people with the tools to be life long servant leaders as disciples of Christ.

Amanda & Bobby Gallo

Sheffield Kids Church Leaders

Bobby and I have been married since 2010 and have two amazing boys. Our boys are thrilled that we are their Kids Church Leaders.  We have called Sheffield Church home for many, many years. We have been Young Adult Connect Leaders; I have taught in nursery and preschool classes since I was 13 and even headed up the nursery schedule for a little while.  I also served as the Women’s Coordinator for the last 10 years and in September of 2022 stepped down, feeling God calling me in a different direction. We love to look for ways to continually serve our church and community. We love hot and humid weather, Cedar Point, and we enjoy being outside any chance we get.

Our desire as Kids Church Leaders is to show each child what it means to have a relationship with Christ, to build their relationship with God, learn to love others, and provide a safe place to freely worship God. We want to teach them how to serve and try to find areas they enjoy and plug them in. We are so excited to be on this journey that we feel God has called us into and look forward to all that God has in store. We can’t wait to meet you and your child(ren).

Diana Sauer

Office Admin

My husband, Dennis, and I pastored a church plant in Sheffield for 5 years.  In 2010, while on a summer sabbatical, we learned that Sheffield Church of God had a new pastor and decided to “take a look”.  We‘ve been here ever since!
Dennis and I are ‘retired’.  I love that word.  It conjures up a picture of such a quiet, peaceful life.  It does not however, describe the life we live.  We have 4 grown children, and as you may know, if you have adult children, the word ‘grown’ never really describes your children.  We also have 5 wonderful grandchildren, ranging in ages 13 to 19.  They bring such joy to our life.  We certainly understand the saying “If I’d known Grandchildren were so much fun I would have had them first!”

About the same time that I lost my ‘big, important corporate job’ due to downsizing, the church secretary position became available.  Pastor asked if I would consider filling the position.  I’ve been here ever since!  (See a pattern here?)  Seriously though, this position affords me the opportunity to meet and interact with wonderful, loving people who call this church home, people who love God and each other.  I also get to see new people come and find that ‘something special’ they’ve been searching for—just like we did!
