What Should I Wear?

You’ll notice we have no dress code. Just come as you are! When you attend Sheffield Church, there will be a wide variety of attire. Our main desire is that you feel comfortable to be yourself.

Our church family is as diverse as our style of dress. The Sheffield Church of God is a life-giving, multicultural, multi-generational church where people of all races, backgrounds and walks of life come together to worship, grow in their relationship with God and discover authentic relationships.

What is Worship Like?

You will find our worship service to be welcoming and friendly from the time you park your car. You will be greeted by one of our friendly ushers when you arrive.  If you have children they are more than welcome to participate in their age appropriate activities, such as: Nursery, Preschool or Kid's Town programs, please ask for directions to the check in areas.  For safety, all children must be checked in with one of our volunteers or staff in our Children's Program. Once your children are in their programs you are welcome to come to the sanctuary to worship with us and fellowship before service.

Why We Care.

Empowered by Christ's commission, Sheffield Church strives to impact our Lorain County neighbors and our global community positively. We care for our neighbor, and we define that as everyone who lives in our world. If we can help we want to.

We know that God has done so much for us, and we want to serve Him and bring others into relationship with their Father in Heaven. We know that there are questions, we know that people have doubts. We are here to answer questions and to walk with you through doubt. We know God is more than able.

About Us

Sheffield Church exists to create a place for God's dwelling, healing, and growth, which produces a great commissional going. You might say, but what does that even mean?! Let's break it down!

Dwell: This means we want to create a church and environment where we can experience God's dwelling physically, spiritually, and emotionally. We live in a world that is in tension between the knowledge of something versus the experience of it. We want to live in the tension of the knowledge of God and the experience of God.

Healing: When we experience and know God as a dwelling place for us, we begin to heal in that presence and our deepening relationship with Him. We all have past and current junk in our lives that weigh us down. The only place that we can heal, rest, and have peace is in Him. We desire to lead people into this truth in Christ.

Growth: Once we experience His dwelling and His healing, then we begin to grow. We grow in our spiritual fruit, health, and practical living. We know that life doesn't get easier just because you become a Christian, but when we do have faith in God, our life becomes empowered to overcome by the victory that Christ won for us on Calvary.
